Captain Jeffrey Miller

Captain Jeffrey Miller joined the Holly Hill Police Department as a reserve
Officer in 1992 and was appointed as a full-time sworn member in 2006. He
was named Officer of the Year in 2009. During his tenure, Captain Miller
has served in the Uniformed Patrol Division, Crime Prevention/D.A.R.E, as a
Narcotics Investigator and supervised the Criminal Investigations Division
before assuming command of the Crime Suppression Unit/Code Enforcement

In addition, Captain Miller served as Executive Director of the former
Holly Hill Police Athletic League, and was integral in developing the
department's first bicycle patrols and Volunteers n Police Service

Captain Miller has an Associate of Arts Degree from Daytona State College,
a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Management from Warner-Southern
College, and was recently accepted in the Masters of Criminal Justice
program at the University of Central Florida.

Captain Stephen K. Aldrich


Professional Experience


Over 18- years of law enforcement leadership and operations experience with the City of Holly Hill Police Department.


Captain Aldrich takes great pride in his personal commitment to proactive law enforcement, police training, and the achievement of department goals and objectives through coordinated teamwork.  He currently oversees law enforcement operations and support services, to include the Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations Division, and the Special Response Team.


In addition, Captain Aldrich serves as a Firearms Instructor for pistol, shotgun, and tactical rifle, and is considered an expert police marksman with sniper qualification.    


As the senior administrator reporting directly to the Chief of Police, Captain Aldrich is also responsible for professional standards and internal affairs.  He has diverse contacts in the law enforcement community, and has received extensive training in all aspects of law enforcement and emergency response operations.  


Captain Aldrich was deployed in support of emergency response and recovery operations during the 1998 Florida Fire Storms, the 2004 Atlantic Hurricane Season, and the May 2009 Central Florida Floods.  In 2006, Captain Aldrich was recognized for his efforts in support of tornado victims in West Volusia during which he conducted the technical rescue of a pet dog which was trapped in the wreckage of a home. 


Captain Aldrich has extensive special operations experience and has been a member of the Volusia County Multi-Agency SWAT Team since 2002.  He is currently assigned as a Team Sniper.


He is a graduate of the 238th Session of the FBI National Academy.
